as a team in camp.”  Another said “This is a grea
t camp for my boys to be in\, they are seeing Godl
 y men in action”.\n \n \n \n  \n \n \n \n The purp
ose of the COFA hunt camps is to build lasting rel
ationships that will carry men into eternity knowi
ng and serving the Lord.  We often hear about men
who had no relationships with their dads and can s
ee that having a brother in Christ can help them t
 hrough the journey they are on now.\n \n \n \n \n
 \n \n \n  \n \n \n \n IMPORTANT NOTE!!! COFA will
be hosting the men’s and women’s hunt camps during
the same week in 2026!  While the men will stay a
nd fellowship in their camp\, the women will also
stay and fellowship in their own camp just a short
drive away. This provides a great opportunity for
dads and daughters to hunt together during the da
y\, moms and sons to hunt together\, husbands and
wives to hunt together\, or any combination of fam
 ily and friends! \n \n \n \n  \n \n \n \n The sugg
ested donation is $675 per person.  A non-refundab
le deposit of $350 will guarantee your spot on the
hunt.  The remaining $325 is to be received by CO
FA no later than Oct 1\, 2026.  Youth (17 and unde
 r) only require the suggested donation deposit of
 $350.\n \n \n \n  \n \n \n \n YOUR SPOT IS NOT GUA
RANTEED UNTIL THE DEPOSIT IS RECEIVED BY COFA.\n \
 n \n \n  \n \n \n \n To hold your spot\, Click the
REGISTER NOW button to submit your donation. \n \
n \n \n This is a great opportunity to bring yours
elf for a once in lifetime experience.  Bring a fr
iend\, churched or unchurched\, God does not discr
iminate.  Enjoy the Colorado mountains\, and proba
bly hear the gospel like you have never heard it b
efore.  Make new friends\, or join up with old fri
ends\, while hunting Colorado’s high country. Spac

 /p>\n \n <p>&nbsp\;</p>\n \n <h2>The history of th
e COFA Kids&#39\; Free Paper Turkey Target Shoot</
h2>\n \n <p>While watching a movie based on the li
fe story of Sergeant Alvin York\, a World War 1 co
ngressional medal (CMH) honor winner\, there was a
part in the movie where Alvin was in a turkey sho
ot as a young man. The turkey shoot took place in
the hills of Tennessee. Several COFA members have
seen this movie and we thought it looked like a gr
eat event for our kids. COFA&#39\;s free Kids&#39\
; Turkey Shoot is for <strong>boys and girls from
8 to 15 years of age</strong>. We at COFA want an
event that is fun for kids and a learning experien
ce for them as well. While the competition is only
for those between 8 and 15\, kids of any age may
participate in the bb gun target shoot as long as
they are able to safely hold and reach the trigger
  of a bb gun.</p>\n \n <p>&nbsp\;</p>\n \n <h2>How
  it Works</h2>\n \n <p><a href="http://cofausa.org
 /wp-content/uploads/Turkey-Score.jpg"><img alt="Tu
 rkey-Score.jpg" src="http://cofausa.org/wp-content
 /uploads/Turkey-Score.jpg" style="width:300px\;hei
 ght:200px\;float:right\;margin:5px 10px\;" /></a><
 /p>\n \n <p>The kids will shoot a designated amoun
t of BB&#39\;s at paper targets to see if they can
win a frozen turkey. The scorers will add up tota
l amount of hits near bullseye to determine the wi
nner. Boys and girls are put into age brackets (8-
 9\, 10-11\, 12-13\, 14-15). A frozen turkey is awa
rded to the winner of each age category! Four priz
es per age group! COFA provides the BB guns so eve
ryone has a fair chance at shooting. We don&#39\;t
  allow personal BB guns...just COFA&#39\;s!</p>\n
 \n <p>&nbsp\;</p>\n \n <h2>Why We Do It</h2>\n \n
<p>One of the purposes of the Kids&#39\; Turkey Sh
oot is to get them involved in the outdoors and aw
ay from sitting on the couch playing with their el
ectronics. Our kids today\, for the most part\, ha
ve no clue how much fun it can be doing fun things
in the outdoors. That&#39\;s what COFA does so we
ll\, it helps families and individuals connect wit
h each other while doing activities like camping\,
  fishing\, ATVing\, hunting\, hiking\, biking\, et
 c. Through COFA&#39\;s events like the Kids&#39\;
Turkey Shoot\, fathers and sons reconnect and buil
d their relationship with each other. Same with mo
thers and daughters...they reconnect as well. COFA
&#39\;s ministry is to get families to develop hea
 lthy bonds through outdoor events.</p>\n \n <p>Sig

 g/)\n \n \n \n  \n \n \n \n The history of the COF
A Kids' Free Paper Turkey Target Shoot\n \n \n Whi
le watching a movie based on the life story of Ser
geant Alvin York\, a World War 1 congressional med
al (CMH) honor winner\, there was a part in the mo
vie where Alvin was in a turkey shoot as a young m
an. The turkey shoot took place in the hills of Te
nnessee. Several COFA members have seen this movie
and we thought it looked like a great event for o
ur kids. COFA's free Kids' Turkey Shoot is for boy
s and girls from 8 to 15 years of age. We at COFA
want an event that is fun for kids and a learning
experience for them as well. While the competition
is only for those between 8 and 15\, kids of any
age may participate in the bb gun target shoot as
long as they are able to safely hold and reach the
  trigger of a bb gun.\n \n \n \n  \n \n \n \n How
 it Works\n \n \n \n \n \n \n The kids will shoot a
designated amount of BB's at paper targets to see
if they can win a frozen turkey. The scorers will
add up total amount of hits near bullseye to dete
rmine the winner. Boys and girls are put into age
 brackets (8-9\, 10-11\, 12-13\, 14-15). A frozen t
urkey is awarded to the winner of each age categor
y! Four prizes per age group! COFA provides the BB
guns so everyone has a fair chance at shooting. W
 e don't allow personal BB guns...just COFA's!\n \n
  \n \n  \n \n \n \n Why We Do It\n \n \n One of th
e purposes of the Kids' Turkey Shoot is to get the
m involved in the outdoors and away from sitting o
n the couch playing with their electronics. Our ki
ds today\, for the most part\, have no clue how mu
ch fun it can be doing fun things in the outdoors.
That's what COFA does so well\, it helps families
and individuals connect with each other while doi
 ng activities like camping\, fishing\, ATVing\, hu
 nting\, hiking\, biking\, etc. Through COFA's even
ts like the Kids' Turkey Shoot\, fathers and sons
reconnect and build their relationship with each o
ther. Same with mothers and daughters...they recon
nect as well. COFA's ministry is to get families t
o develop healthy bonds through outdoor events.\n

in the Lake City Mining District of Colorado. The
mine was established in the late 1800s\, during th

  the area.</p>\n \n <p>In the early 1900s\, the Ut
